CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
VERDICT IN FAVOR OF DR TEARE.
(By Telegraph—Press Associatiqn. Wellington, last night. The Supreme Court sat to-night in order to finish the case Brown v. Dr Teare, a claim for Looqo damages brought by an ex-convict against the gaol surgeon, for alleged improper treatment. The jury, alter twenty minutes retirement, returned a verdict in favor of defendant. Judgment was entered up accordingly, with costs according to scale.
