NEW PLYMOUTH NEWS.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Now Plymouth, last night. Tho returned Taranaki mcmbors of the Tenth Contingent arrived to-night. They wero accorded a hearty recoption. Thero was a largo attendance of tho public, and thoy were formally welcomed by the Mayor. The Garrison Band was present. The proceedings wore enthusiastic. It is roported that Messrs Kirkcaldie and Stains, of Wellington, have purchased the o'ornor clock of Devon'street in this town.' Tho price is stated to bo 1360 per foot.' At a mooting of the Now Plymouth Sash and Door Company a resolution was confirmed increasing tho capital 1320,000 to 4340,000. The now issue will be allotted pro rata amongst tho shareholders.
