ANTHRAX OUTBREAK.

IMPORTED FROM CALCUTTA. By Telegraph- Press Association. Inveroargill, last night. An outbreak of anthrax has occurrod at Woodlands. Two cov. s died, and two are recovering. Mr Gilrutb has expressed the opinion that the disease was duo to Calcutta bones used as a fertiliser. This is the first time the dreaded disease has appeared in the South Island. It is feared that when sheep are placed on turnips the mortality will be heavy.
