The wool sales to day seem to have given general satisfaction. Tho bidding was spirited throughout, especially for the better classes of hoggets, which brought to 2A-d'iiiore than at the first sale lust year. Pieces were in strong request at 2d advance. Merino, a little in and halfbred, was lcl to 2d higher. For first combing Merino hogget lOd was refused. The top prico for first combing crossbred was 7 L (d. Most of the lots withdrawn have since been sold.
