YANKEE SWEAT.
By Telegraph-Press Association. Dunedin, last night. Charles Meek was to day sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment ior P j n game known as Yankee sweat on a racecourse. Tho Magistrate first imposed a fine of fifty shillings, but finding that he had no power to do ao changed the sentence to Unprieomaent.
