THE WHITEHOUSE COMPANY.
An exchange states ; —There was a good attendance at the Opera House last evening, when the Whitehouse Company gave their entertainment, and applause was frequent. Since his last visit Mr Whitehouse has greatly improved a good show. He is, by means of lengthy films, able to give patrons a continuous run of pictures, it taking on an average twenty minutes for the showing of each set. The pictures shown last evening were good -some [ amusing, all interesting. The new series of war pictures pleased the audience, the procession of Lord George Sanger’s huge circue was fine, while the comic and i illusive scenes v/ere'ezcelienS, Mr Whitehouse gave short lucid explanations, and told several humorous anecdotes. The phonographic items were clear and good. As a comic singer, Mr F. Pierce secured "■“» for his ditties, which were well enco.— -‘■"•tainment was decidedly given.
