SERIOUS CASE.
A DOCTOR COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, last night.
James Alexander Fullarton, a medical practitioner hero for over ten years, and a native of tho district, was to day committed lor trial on a charge of having on the ‘2oth January, at Invercargill, used an instrument for an illegal purpose on Margaret Bates, domestic servant, aged 18. Mr Solomon (Dunedin) and W. Y. H. Hall appeared for the accused. Tho girl and her young man gave evidence as to negotiations with accused and a payment made to him. Bail, self in £SOO and two sureties of £250 each, was accepted.
