Bv Teleeraph—Press Association. Masterton, last night. Tho B flat trombone solo resulted: H. Oakes, Wellington, 89 points, 1; W. Siddall, Denniston, 90, 2; C. McConnell, North-east Valley, 90. 3. Tho judge was well satisfied with tho playing. Tho winner was only two points off tho possible. The judge commended the fourth man, Lamb, of Wanganui, who should reoeivo a certificate for his fine playing.
