FIRE BRIGADE DEMONSTRATION
THAMES CARRIES ALL BEFORE IT.

Auckland, last night. The annual demonstration of the Auckland Fire Brigade took place in the Domain yesterday afternoon. Tho weather was fine, and there was a fair attendanoe. Five competitions came up for decision, and teams were entered from all the brigades of Auckland and suburbs and the Thames brigade. Tho results were : Two men coupling: Thames No. 1 (36sec), 1. . . Horse reel for five men: Thames SG Horso and hydrant for three men: Thames No. 2 (43sec), 1. Rescue event for two men : Thames (21sec), 1. Horse and ladder, five men : Thames (40sec), 1.
