WRECK AT THE ISLANDS

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Arrived : The s.s. Ventura, from Sydney ;s.s. Hauroto, from the Islands. From February 13th to 18th, a heavy blow was experienced in the Friendly Islands. The schooner Croydon Lass, belonging to Messrs Vines, Utting, and Perston, of Auckland, was totally wrecked at Hapara Island during the blow. Sailed : The Ventura, R.M.S., for San Francisco. Oneliunga.—Sailed : The Rotoiti, s.s.', /or New Plymouth. Passengers : Misses Rewley, Barron, Buller, ITanson, Pearse, Elworthy, Mesdamcs McLennan, Dexter, Simback, Rud/ow, and child, Ryan ; Messrs McGowan, T. Glasgow, LI. Mercer, Gunn, Sam 1 nel, Perry, Ritchie, H. Elworthy, Glenn, Feruse, Simback, Dexter, McLellan, Goodman, Dr. King, Rev. Ramsbottom, aud 15 steerage.
