REPORT.
At the Waerenga-a-hika stock sale on ! Thursday there was a large aStoudance, and though comparatively few cattle were sold under the hammer the total sales amounted to 414 out of 473 entered. Sheep : Entries 2770, sales 2085, nearly I all of which were sold under the hammer. ; Prices both for cattle and sheep were lower than at the February sales, but we look for a reaction after rain. Amongst the principsl lines sold were the following :—Seven light beef bullocks T 7, 20 forward bullocks £6 17s 6d, 68 threeyear steers JES 15s, 32 two-year steers £4, 68 20-month steers £3 ss, 53 20-month heifers £3 10s, 18 steers £4, 13 fat and forward cows £5 2s 6d to £3 ss, 17 cows and calves, a good line, £5 10s, 24 cows and calves, medium, £4, 20 good weaners, mixed, 435, 360 breeding ewes, mixed ages, os, 400 two-tooth wethers 8s and 8s Id, 435 mixed hoggets 2s lOd, 300 cull ewes Ssto-Sa 6d. Crocks from Is to 2s 3d„ according te condition. Romney ramss four-tooth, lfgs to 2gs. Lincoln rams unsaleable.
