King Edwards’ easy-going influence Oji court life was strikingly shown id the appearance of Princess “ Ena," the daughter of his youngest sister Beatrice, Princess Ilenry of Battenberg, in private theatricals in the Isle of Wight. Princess Beatrice herself acted as- stage manager and accompanist, while Princess Ena as a vivandiere, gave a skjrt dance and sang a song with great sjTTTit, while two of her brothers, Alexander and Maurice, the latter as a “ nigger,” also sang and acted with marked sucpess.: •4* Ena ” is a pet name.
