MAIL DELIVERY.
(To the Editor of the Times.)
•Gir, —If tiie old saying that oscula-
lory greetings go by favor is true, I think the same sentiment holds so in regard to letter delivery. .Why a few
persons m the main street are iavored by having their latters delivered after; the arrival of the Auckland steamer is a matter for enquiry ? Why should not the same courtesy be granted to all ? On many occasions lately the boats have arrived in ample time for a delivery, yet the iiat is given, “ .No delivery to-day ; postman cannot go beyond his hours.” I£ this delivery was made to those in Gladstone road it would give business people who do not enjoy a private box an opportunity to answer by the via isew Plymouth mail their Auckland letters. I hope the favor will' be extended to all, and not the select few, as ftt present.— l am, etc., PROMT.
