By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waimate, last night. Tho Frcmier arrived by express this afternoon, a largo gathering of people assembling at the station to give him a welcome. Tho Mayor and Borough and County Councillors met him, and accorded him a hearty reception. Later ho received deputations at the hospital and railway station. To-night ho was banquetted by tho townspeople, tho banquet being largely attended and a great success. Tho Premier gives a public address to-morrow evoniug. Tho Hons. Ilall-Jones and Dunoap are also here.
