CORONATION HONORS.
THE INVESTITURE. By Telegraph—c ress Association—Copyright Deceived 4.22 p.m., April 19. Sydney, April 19. The investiture of recipients of Coronation honors by the Governor-General at Government House was an interesting and imposing function. A brilliant gathering included the Governors of New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, Admiral Faiisl.aw, Sir Edmund Barton, several Federal Ministers, and State Premiers. Eighteen wore invested, amongst them tiie Nl-w South Wales Premier ; Peacock and Lewis, ex-Premiers of Victoria and Tasmania respectively ; Holder, Speaker of the Federal House. The specified cere monial was observed in full detail. Sir Sami. Grilliih read the commission empowering the investitures. Subsequently Lord Tennyson heid a reception. The warships were illuminated for the occasion, and presented a lino spectacle. Massed bands played in the Park.
