DIX’S GAIETY COMPANY.
THEATRE ROYAL, WEDNESDAY EVENING, We have pleasure in announcing itliati Mr P. R. Dix lias definitely decided to play his Gaiety Company at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next. The Company has been specially selected for this lour, and comprises several well-known English and American jrrtistes, including Arnoldi, the great English juggler, in his wondcrfuPy clever feats of equilibrism ; Miss Emmie .Smith, soprano and coon balladist ; the clever pocket comedienne, little Vera K'.'arns, one of the cleverest juvenile artists in the world ; Mr Charles Howard, baritone and descriptive vocalist; Miss Ida Roslyn, Australian comedienne ; John Kearns (ebaaeter comedian) ; the Sisters Gallardi, singing and dancing duet,tists; and the well-known musical comedians, the Sherwins, from the principal London music halls, introducing “ The Mad Musician.” We have no doubt that the generous patronage extended to Mr I)ix during the past five years in the principal cities of New Zealand will also be extended to him on this his first visit to Gisborne.
