SHEEP DOG TRIALS.

POVERTY BAY CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Sheep Dog Trial Club was continued at Kaiti yesterday, under unfavorable circumstances in regard to weather. Class 2, head, bring back, and hold, was completed late ir, the afternoon, being won by Mr E. Steagall’s Sharp, which did splendid work. Sharp picked up his sheep in a bad spot, arid cleverly hooding brought them back irigood style. He kept them in excellent command, hut did not altogether please the judge in the manner in which he held them. °Mr G. Hinton’s Skipper made a good run, scoring within a point of Sharp. His chief defect was in heading the sheep. Mr J. Mclntosh’s flick was third, and Mr E. W. Reid’s Bess fourth. Mr 0. Evan ’ Sprint and Mr C. Wright’s Yarrow tied for fifth pluce.
