VAL. VOUSDEN.

IRELAND’S NOTED ENTERTAINER

Arrangements have unexpectedly been made for a big attraction at the Theatre Royal. On Monday and Tuesday, July 6th and 7th, Mr Val. Yousden, .the celebrated Irish ventriloquist, mimic, and character impersonator, will make his first appearance here, in his unique entertainment entitled, “ Two Honrs’ Hearty Laughter.” Mr Vousden has appeared under the direction of the leading theatrical managers of five continents, and has gained the very highest criticisms from press and public. His character impersooations are said to be marvellous, especially his Mrs O’Rourke, which he has given before more than 3000 audiences in all parts of the world, an impersonation which we understand His Majesty the King has witnessed several times. In the field of veutriloquism be is said to stand alone. He gives imitations of all binds of animals, birds, and musical instruments, without the least motion of his lips. We also understand that his quick changes of voice and dress are of the very highest order of merit. As this is the only entertainment of this exact character ever given in Gisborne, we have no doubt but that a large audience will witness both performances.
