The Grand Jury at Montgomery, (Alabama, found ninety-nine indictments of'negro slavery against planet is alleged that the negroes were fined for fictitious offences, and the planters paid the fines, taking the negroes into slavery. .Whippings were frequent and sometimes fatal. , , , t.i i Deserters were chased by, bloodhounds.
