INDEPENDENT ORDER OF RECHABITES.

The half-yearly summoned meeting of ' Gisborne Tent, N0:'54,1.0.R., S.U., was / held in the Tent room last evening, the attendance of members being a very large one. The Chief Ruler, Bro. G. Golds worthy, presided. The question of appointing a dentist to the Tent was discussed, • and it was decided to refer the matter to , the Friendly Societies’ Conference for ■/ favorable consideration. It was decided to celebrate the anniversary of, the Tent with' a conversazione, in conjunction with the Ladies’ Tent, and a committee was appointed to make arrangements. Three candidates were proposed for membership. The election of officers resulted as follows: -Past Chief Ruler, Bro. G. Goldsworthy ; Thief Ruler, Bro. W. Roland; Deputy Ruler Bro. S. Graham; Secretary, Bro. M G.-Sfasmiitb (jun.); MinuU)-.Secretary, Tiro A W- Eirk ; Treasurer, Bro. J. Peck nver • Cash Steward, Bro. H. Anderson ; Ttnok Steward, Bro. A. Pool; Levite, Bro. A Clayden; Guardian, Bro. T. Harding. Anderson proposed “ The Star of New Knaland Tent,” replied to by Sister W. Wallace “ The Juvenile Tent,” proposed ■ Bro.'Pcokover, was responded to by the Bro. Kretsohmar; Bro.
