Christchurch, last night. At a meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association this evening, Messrs C. S. Howell (vice-president), W. Sollitt (sectary), and W. G. Garrard wsre empowered to visit Auckland to hold an enguiry into the general constitution and conduct of the Auckland Trotting Club. This was the outcome of charges made by R. Spratt, who will be asked to utend with substantiating evidence. ' -The Colonial Secretary wrote that no | totalisator license had been issued to the Wellington Club. The New South Wales Trotting Club’s disqualification of R. Doye (owner), S. Nison (owner), and the horse Star, for 12 months for suspicious practices at races on June 15, was endorsed. The Wairau, Greymouth, and New Zealand Metropolitan programmes were approved. G. W. Stuart's application for removal of disqualification imposed by the Wellington Club in 1900 was refused on the cast(ing vote of the Chairman.
