WELLINGTON, last night.
The debate on tho Address in Reply was oarried on by Hons. Rigg, Bedim, and McLean, tho two former expressing a leaning towards tho establishment o a State Bauk.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
The House met at 2.30. Tho afternoon sitting was devoted to formal business, and tho setting up of sessional committees. In tho House at 7.30 p.ra. the debate on the Addross in-Reply was resumed by Mr Bedford, who was followed by Mr Taylor. Both condemned the present constitution of tho Ministry. Mr Taylor urged reform in tho lunatic asylums of the colony. Mr Hall-Jonos said that further improvement would be effected in that direction. Mr Kaihau having spoken in support of Mahuta’s call to the Legislative Council, the debate was adjourned, and the House rose at 11.15.
