NAPIER POULTRY SHOW

The Hawke's Bay Kennel and Poultry Club’s annual show to day was the most successful yet held here, the exhibits being numerous and of excellent quality. Mrs J. Wakelin, of Hangaweka, gained the North Island Association’s championship for Indian game, and Mr J. Carrie, of Wellington, a similar honor for white Leghorns. Mr Currie also gained the special prizes for the best three cockerels and best three pullets in the show, and the best bird in the show with a Minorca pullet. In the canine classes the collies, English setters, fox terriers, and greyhounds were the best. Mr Paul Hunter Becured championship and points prize for the English setters, and Cyril Hunter points prize for greyhounds. Mr W. A. Smith obtained points for fox terriers, and Mr J. A. Macfarlane points prize tor collies.

GISBORNE WINNERS AT NAPIER,

Morrison, of Gisborne, was awarded first for golden Wyandotte cockerel and tnird for Indian game cock, Mr H. M. Porter gaining first for white Wyandotte cock, and second for Indian game cockerel
