FAST ATLANTIC SERVICE.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Received 10.35 p.m.; Aug. 5. London, Aug. 5. Terms of the agreement recently completed between the Government and the Cunard Company have been published. The company receive a subsidy of £150,000 yearly for twenty years and a loan of £2,600,000 at 2£ per cent, interest, in consideration of building two steamers of a speed of 24£ knots; the company to remain a British company, mainly manned and officered hy British, and the fleet to be at the Government’s disposal in the event of war. In return for a weekly fast Atlantic service the company receives an additional subsidy of £68,000.
