SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

Thames, last night.
An elderly man named Charles Smith, a County Council employee, fell off the train at Kopu, near the Thames, last evening, and was run over. His arm was severed above the elbow. He was taken to the hospital, where it is reported that his condition is serious.
