MR MOATE’S WARRING.
(To the Editor of the Times.) Sib, — My friend Mr Clayton caused me great pain when using such awful abuse as “ cacoethes scribendi.” Friend Clay ton should at once report the subjects to the Stock Inspector, as it is certainly time such an itching disease is' taken in hand. The public dip would meet the case, and perhaps save a further spread. I suppose “cacoethes seribendi ” is not swearing, but it sounds very much like it. I do hope Clayton won’t let himself go in such a reckless manner again. If he wants to call a thing a (you can fill in the Billingsgate if you so desire), let him do it in pure Anglo Saxon, a 3 spoke in Billingsgate.—l am, etc., Robeet MoatEi
