In March last Lord Penrhyn obtained a verdict for damages against Parry, formerly secretary of the Bethesla Quarrymen’s Union, in connection with an allegation that Lord Penrhyn-bribed traitors, who returned to work in his quarries. The matter has now been settled by Parry paying £2500 costs and damages, which amount the public subscribed.
