ADDINGTON MARKET.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, last night. There was a fair yarding and tho usual attendance at tho Addington market today. Fat cattle : 24S hcad wore yarded. Tho entry was very mixed, but included a good proportion of pvimo steer beef. Prices all round were easier, being equal to from 28s to 35s per lOOlbs, steers £7 to £l3 7s, heifers £6 10s to £ll ss, cows £6 to £l4. Fat sheep : There was a moderate entry, and tho quality was rather hotter than that of the previous week, though there v?as still a large proportion of half fat gVook.. The sale opened very firmly at sn advance on recent rates, but afterwards eased slightly. Prime wethers realised 23s 9d to 30s 6d, lighter and unfinished 17s 3d to 235, prime merinos 19s 9d to 25s 3d, lighter 15s 7d to 18s sd, prime ewes 21s to 265, ligbtor 16s to 20s, wethers and ewes 18s 2d to 235. Fat hoggets: Only a few lots were offered, and they sold at from 15s 6d to 18s 2d. Pigs : There was a fairly large yarding, and °tho market was a trifle easier. Baconers realised from 45s to 55s for light, and 57s 6d to 78s 6d for heavy, equal to 5d per lb; porkerß 35s to 433, equal to 5Jd per lb.
