'A. deputation waited upon tlie City .Council tins evening, to protest, in tiie name of the cnurchcs against tne playing of bands on Sundays, on iraihs going- to the seaside. The. City Council, at a meeting (this Evening, decided to take a poll over the whole district in regard to the water supply proposals, , instead of taking the poll in each ward. The Council also decided to adhere, to itp previous, decision, that .the,Source of supply should be artesiah'Svells. j
