With respect to the suggested sending of relief to the unemployed In England and the sufferers in Japan, he said that ia the cause of humanity and philanthropy he recommended these ovidonees of the generosity of the oolonists. The Government would help by seeing the contributions reaohed their destination. Ho asked for the assistance i f the press in impressing on his fellow* at tizens the necessity of taking action in ’“the direction indicated.

The Premier, referring to the distress among the unemployed in Englond, said he proposed to ask the Mayors, Chambers of Commerce and others in authority in the oolony to take steps to relieve the distress by providing foodstuffs for their unfortunate kindred at Homo.
