THE MISSIS BOAT.
NO FURTHER TIDINGS.. It was thought that the missing fishermen would have returned to the river early yesterday morning, a favorable wind haviDg been blowing all night, but, as the day wore on without any nows, (ho fear was strengthened that the boat had been blown out to sea. The oocupantß were DanielsoD, a Norwegian, employed by Messrs Kennedy and Evans as a lighterman, and WatsoD, aged Bbout 20 years, staying at Mrs Adams’ boarding-house. They had the use of the Minnehaha, owned by Mr L. Clare, who let Danielson have it on his undertaking to be back by Wednesday. They went out about 11 on Tuesday night. The boat is a good sea boat, about 20ft loDg, with cantre board aad throe-quarter deck. On leaving Danielson stated that he would try the fishing ground at Wbareoogaougs, but as they were not seen there by the Kumi, it is assumed that they made for the Ariel reef, in whioh case the high westarly wiad would have blown them’out to sea. It was understood that the men bad with them throe loaves of bread, seme tins of meat, and sandwiches, with a bottle of tea, and two demijohns of water.' It is urgeptly necessary that some .effort should be made to-day to rescue the meD, or, at least, to Bee they are not being allowed to starve to death. The impression of the nautical men is that they would be able to weather tho westerly gale, and have been blown out of sight of the land, in which case Danielson, though well able to manage a boat, might not have the knowledge of navigation to sail back to the Coast line. It is to be hoped the authorities will be able to arrange today for something to be done in the way of making a oircuit seaward in one of the steam bouts available.
