,(F#r.-Press Association.) Trebtbam, last n : ght. The ohampions’ teams match was the ohief match of interest to-day, 35 teams taking part. Tho conditions were! 7 Bhots at 200, 500, and 600 yards. The Opaki team had tho lead at 200 yards with 162, Chri3tehuicb Engineers 157 ; bnt at 500 yards the leaders " buret,”, and Weber with 159 at 500 yards was_ in front, with Chrietohuroh and Wanganui a tie for seoond place, the totals being : Weber 310, Chrietohuroh Engineers and Wanganui Riflee 306. At 600 yards positions changed greatly, and Opiki team shooting very Bteadily put on the highest scare at this range, 140. One of the Weber team ‘'buret,” but they had suffioient lead to ,jnet stave off .defeat, finishing with 439, while Opaki and Ohristohuroh aro second with 437. They will protiably firs off. The winners take the District Uhallenge Shield and £ls. Second and third money totals £ls 10j. The other prize-takers are! Palmerston North, 435, £7 10s; Wanganui Rifles, 432, £5 ; Hawera R'Ses 429, £5. The other teams raoged from 428 to 869.
