FRASERTOWN.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The To Kapil Riflo Club concluded its final match of the season on ,tho 9tli February. This match was tho conclusion of a series of four matches which decided tlio winners of a large number of trophies, which in all cases wero handicaps. For the ladies’ trophy, consisting of a silver tea-pot as first prize, and a silver medal as second, the winner was Capt. Chapman, nominated by Mrs Chapman. Rifleman T. Powdrell, nominated by Dliss Thompson, was second. The winner’s aggregate for four matches was 355. For the 6 prizes allotted for the best three out of tlio four matches fired the winners wero: Rifleman H. Finnis 281, Captain Chapman 271, Rifleman G. Rigby 268, Rifleman A. Soundy 267, Rifleman T. Powdrell 263, and Rifleman W. Kirkham 262. For Dir Quinn's trophy, which was allottee! for the three last matches, a shooting bag, was won by Rifleman S. Twigg with an aggregate of 260; Rifleman W. Kirkham was second. A trophy consisting of a rifleman’s shooting box, given by Dir S. Twigg, for the shooter showing the greatest consistency throughout the year, was won by Rifleman H. Finnis, who is probably the youngest shot in the club.

The club held its annual meeting after the conclusion of tho firing. The balance-sheet presented by tho secrotary showed receipts £43 10s Bd, and expenditure £34 19s 9d, leaving a balance to credit of £8 10s lid. Tho club voted tho sum of £7 to be expended in trophies for the ensuing year. This sum was supplemented by Dlossrs J. Powdrell, T. Powdrell, and M. P. Chapman with £1 each, thus making £lO. As tho vicc-Prcsi-dent, Dir S. Twigg, is just leaving on a trip to England, this sum was handed to him to procure trophies in England on behalf of tho club. Dir J. Powdrell- was ro-elocted president of the dull, and Dir T. Hall vicecaptain. Dir S. Twigg promised a trophy to bo given to tho competitor showing the greatest proficiency combined with general improvement for the year, the captain of the duly to he judge of this trophy. Tho Ciub decided to leave tho silver challenge cup, recently won outright by the dull, in the custody of the captain until otherwise allotted.
