DYNAMITE EXPLOSION.

FIFTY-FOUR PEOPLE KILLED. PRETORIA, March 31 An explosion of dynamite occurred yesterday in the Ariefontcin Consolidated mine on tlie Rand. The men employed on the mine were being mustered when two cases of dynamite exploded, the explosion being of terrific force. Four whites and fifty natives were hilled, and whites and sixteen natives were injured. It is surmised that the explosion was caused through some natives tampering with tho dynamite.
