ARBITRATION COURT.
Press Association. WANGANUI, yesterday. The Arbitration Court commenced its sittings this morning before Mr. Justice Sims and Messrs. .Brown and Slater. For a breach of the conch workers 1 award, Boyd and Brennan were fined 13s and costs. The Now Zealand Express Company, for paying a driver insufficient overtime, were fined £lO and costs. Purser and Sons, for employing a cabinetmaker at. undor-rnte wages without a permit, were fined £5 and costs, and the worker 10s and costs. Evidence was called by employers and employes in the letterpress machinists’ dispute.

At the Arbitration Court to-day the N.Z. Express Co. wore fined £lO for failing to pay a driver the award rate. Purser and Son were fined '£s for employing undor-rato workmen without a permit. Boyd and Brennan, coachbuilders, were fined SB3 for employing boys other than allowed by the award. Evidence in the Letterpross Printers’ dispute and Typographical dispute was taken.
