PRETORIA, June 12. The Orange River leaders, Abraham, Fischer, and Judge Herzog, condemn the reservation of control of native affairs under the new constitution, declaring the existence of two masters is not. conducive to finalitv or peace. LONDON, June 13.
Reuter’s Pretoria correspondent states that General Botha on Friday will announce his decision not to reenact tlie labor ordinance, hut to repatriate the Chinese immediately their contracts expire. He is sanguine of obtaining a sufficiency of native labor. The Rand miners have asked All*. Ramsay Alacdonakl and the Lahorites to assist the strikers with funds or to secure the withdrawal of troops on the ground that without the soldiers the mine owners would be unablo to achieve their aims, as employment of volunteers would lead to a civil war because many side with the strikers.
