Press Association. INVERCARGILL, yesterday. Shortly before 11 o’clock on Sat nr- ■ »ifiht an unoccupied building in Lee street was gutted. Tin's is the second time this house, which is owned by Mr. A. Galt, has caught fire while unoccupied. The cause is un-
known. A six-roomed house in the same, street, owned and occupied by Mr. O. E. Johnston, was completely destroyed at b o’clock on Saturday morning. The family was at the Bluff at the time. This house was also damaged by fire some months ago. The house is insured in the Yorkshire, and furniture in tho South British for £l5O. Shortly after noon an incipient fire in a four-roomed j house in Esk street brought the brigad? out again. They quickly disposed of tho outbreak. Tho insurances are unknown.
