The ordinary meeting, of St. Pat-.-ks Branch, H.A.C.8.5., was he'.l ast night, some 24 members bein<* present. ° iiyo new members were proposed, makmg a total for the last month of A lot of routine business was goue through. *=■ l n leg f ,tes to the F '‘<'»(ll.v Societies Conference reported : on the last meeting. The delegates wete commended for their action in deal'.ng with the annual contributions for members, and were accorded a vote '’ . thanks for their explanation on tuendly society matters. A letter was received from tlie district president, intimating }ji s intentmn ot visiting Gisborne at the end oi the month, and stating that le uas pleased to see the progress the branch had made. Members of the society are taking Keen interest in the bazaar which wiM take place in October, and which promises to be a great- success. The secretary of the Social Commit. tee, Bro. Barry, reported on the social which took place on August Ist, which turned out a. great success both financially and otherwise. Bro. Barry was complimented on his efforts as secretary.
