WEDDINGS.
II IDLER—POSWILLO. At Holy Trinity Church yesterday afternoon Miss May (Mazie) Poswillo, fourth daughter of Mr. Leon Poswillo, Gisborne, was married to Mr. Edward ltidler, of Petone. The bride, who was dressed in a cream figured silk lustre dress, was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. G. Tattersail. The bridesmaids, Miss Gertie Poswillo and Miss Florence Murray, wore navy blue silk dresses, trimmed with cream lace and insertion, and white crinoline straw hats. Mr. E. Corbett acted as best man, and Mr. E. Thaxter as groomsman. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold bangle and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs. G. Tattersall. Mr. and Mrs. Rid lev left for Wellington last night. The bride’s travelling dress' was a tartan costume, with white silk vest, with a crinoline straw hat -trimmed with tulle, and sprays of pink roses. BURKE—RE YNOLDS. There was a largo attendance at Holy Trinity Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Winifred Reynolds, youngest daughter of Mr. R. J. Reynolds, was married to Mr. Robert Ulick Burke, the Rev. L. Dawson Thomas performing the ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated, and the service was a fully choral one. Mr. E. N. Sidebottom presided at the organ. As tho bride and bridegroom entered the church <he played “The. Voice that . Breathed o’er Eden,” and as they left he played the “Wedding March.” The bride was dressed irf white silk crepe, with a deep hem of chiffon taffeta, bordered with true lovers’ knots of silver tissue, the corsage being draped with point de Bruges lace, finished with silver cord and tassels. She wore a pearl pendant and pearl brooch, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaids, who were dressed in chiffon taffeta and lace, with hats of crinoline straw to matolT the dresses, were Misses C. Reynolds (heliotrope), Sunderland (primrose), Mabel Burke (palo blue), Clark (pale pink), Amy Sherratt (pale green),. Eve Gaddum (white muslin). They wore goldmounted combs, the present of the bridegroom. Mr. G. Reynolds acted as best man, and Messrs L. Rutledge, J. M, Gouldsmith, C. Sainsbury, and R. Reynolds as groomsmen. Mrs, Reynolds wore soft grey silk, trimmed with pinks, black velvet, and' lace, with a silver grey hat, and Mrs Gore (mother of tho bridegroom) was dressed in black and white striped chiffon taffeta, her hat being ia- black crinoline straw with an ostrich feather. After the ceremony a largo reception was held at “Sandown,” the residence of the bride’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Burke left tor the South by tho Victoria last nigjlit, the bride’s traveling clress being a navy blue tailormade costume, with liat to match.
