Mr. John Cannon, injured near Tolaga on Monday, who' was brought into town and taken to Miss Harnlie’s private hospital, does not yet show miu-ch improvement. Yesterday a. consultation over tho case was iiieiid by Drs. Colins and Scott and Dr. McKenzie, of Wellington, who fliiapipened to be passing througjh Gisborne. The doctors came to tilie 1 decision that Mr. Cannon was suffering from severe concussion of the spi-n'e, tilie symptoms pointing to -a. fracture, but his chance of recovery was considered hopeful. Police Inspector Dwyer .arrived from Napier yesterday morning on Departmental business, and proceeded back in the evening. Tflio Riev..
