ENTERTAINMENTS.
COOK’S PICTURES. After an absence of twelve months, tho above-named company will reappear at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday and Tuesday next, December 2nd anil 3rd. The programme to bo submitted will be found to contain an absolutely new series of subjects with a comprehensive range, and calculated not only to entertain but to instruct. Tho manufacture of cinematograms is becoming a fine art, and the improvement from year to year is most marked. The days of short films have passed, tho object now being to produce pictures containing connective subjects of considerable length. Every phase of the animated picture art will be shown in connection with the visitof Mr Cook’s company, including sensational, pathetic, scenic, illusionary, and comic subjects. The latest American picture songs will bo sung by Mr. Bagot Stack. Popular prices will be charged. MRS. BUCKERIDGE’S CONCERT. Ail attractive program mo lias been arranged for the complimentary concert to be tendered to Mrs. Buckcridgo oil Thursday next. Mrs. P. Barry, who has been absent from the concert platform for many years, will contribute a song, as also will Miss Pyke, who at this concert will make her debut. Another new vocalist is Air. Williamson. Songs will also be given by Messrs Reynolds, Teat, Barlow, and P. Adair. Mr; A. F. Kennedy will contribute a recitation, and Air. J. Adair a ’cello solo. An orchestra under tho leadership of Air. AI. L. Foster will Assist, and will play an accompaniment- to one of Mrs, Buckeridge’s songs. Tickets for the concert may be obtained from Aliller’s and Chrisp’s.
