WELLINGTON TIMBER TRADE.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 16. The Wellington Timber Merchants Association has advanced the price of timber all round, owing to charges made by the country merchants being increased. It is stated also that tho cutting out of the bush and the neeissitj; for goig further back, has necessitated an increase in price. Kauri lias been advanced 2s per 100 feet, Red Pine Is, and heart of Matai Is.
