JAPANESE IMMIGRATION.
THE GOVERNMENT’S RESTRICTIONS.
United Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 27, 11.18 p.m.) TOKIO, Jan. 27. Tho Government at Toldo has issued an order absolutely prohibiting emigration to Hawaii, except to those having relatives there. The order has created consternation among the emigration companies, and is like- ' I.Y to provoke a violent attack on the * Government’s policy. Viscount Hayaslii declares that the Government ■has given a promise, and are determined not to recede, notwithstanding political pressure.
SATISFACTION IN AMERICA.
LONDON, Jan. 27. The New York correspondent of tbo Times says that the news order has been received with the greatest satisfaction in Washington.
