Air. A. H. -Steele, of the local Post Office, has been promoted to the position of accountant in charge of the Alonoy Order and Savings Bank division. Air. J. Jeune left on Saturday on a nine months’ trip to the Old Country. Air. C. AA r . Abbot, who was Nativo schoolmaster at Hick’s Bay, and who has boon stationed for the last few years at Te Kao, Mangonui, has now been transferred to Omarumutu, in the jjay of -Plenty. Air. J. AlcGavin, late Nativo school teacher at Nuhaka, has been trans-Terfed->to_Waiu.kn_aiid Air. AI. Smith, of AVhangape goes £5 Nuhaka. The Rev. F. C. Long; AlrA-r,—is~at_ present on a holiday visit to Feiklmg. He is expected hack in Gisborno in March, when ho will proceed to AVaipiri -Bay. Air J. E. Skoates, of Messrs- S'keates and Bockeart, automobile dealer’s, arrived in Gisborne last evening, having motored through from AVairoa. He was accompanied by Mr AV. H.
