A vote was taken to-day by tho Gore Borough Council on a proposal to raise a loan of £ssoo—a sum of £3OOO for the water supply extension and £2500 for the extension and repairs to tho electrical light service. Both proposals were lost, the water loan by 199 to I‘2B, ad the light proposal by .183 to 149. The" proposals were submitted oil a previous occasion (about a couple of months ago), and were defeated by practically the same majorities.
