CHARITABLE AID BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Charitable Aid Board was held last evening, when there were present his AVorsbip the Mayor Uu the chair), and Grs. \A". Miller, \Y • lettie, and A. Sawyer. . A letter was received from the Auckland Hospital authorities, s-t-at-in<r that a claim for maintenance or a Tolaga resident would bo forwarded ill due course. , The custodian -reported 'that at the time of the last meetj])o- there were 11 inmates. Three were admitted since, bringing tho total to 1-1. Auckland weeklies and magazines had been received from Dr. Morrison and Air. J. Spence, and were acknowledged with tL Ohi S 'Aliller and Pettic were appointed the visiting committee toi the month.
