BLACKBALL MINING TROUBLE.
ARBITRATION COURT’S DECISION. CASE GOES AGAINST THE MEN. Press Association. GREYMOUTH, March 13. The decision of the Arbitration Court in tlie Blackball strike was given this morning. The Court found the men guilty of breaches on all points, and inflicted a fine of £75 with costs on the union. The counter case brought against the company by tho union for wrongful dismissal was dismissed with costs, £3 3s, against the union. The miners held a meeting at Blackball this afternoon, and decided not to resume work to-morrow, holding that the meeting on Thursday night, agreeing to the terms, was illegally called. A deputation waited on the manager to-night, and stated that the miners would not start work until tho half-hour crib time was allowed and a written guarantee that the seven men would not be dismissed from the mine. The manager refused to grant the demands, and so a deadlock is arrived at.
