The German-Australian liner Zalisez. from Sydney to Hamburg, struck a rock and foundered in the Red Sea. The crew took to the boats, and were rescued and landed at Aden. It is stated that after the captain had set the course he retired to rest, but the officers misunderstood the course, and tho vessel struck ou the rock in the latitude of 22 degrees north ami longitude 35.
