Tho foreign legion with Zouaves sharpshooters had a desperate fight for six hours, finally- repelling the enemy. They pursued the Moors for nine miles. One hundred and twenty-five dead Moors were found in the camp, and many beyond. There were hundreds of wounded. 1 * . Colonel Piorron lost -twenty-eight killed, including one officer. He had ono hundred and two wounded; including 64 European non-commission-ed officers and men.
