ACCIDENT TO TRAIN.
ENGINE LEAVES THE LINE. PASSENGERS ESCAPE WITH SHAKING. United Press Association—Copyright. GREYMOUTH, April 26. Hie express train from Otira conveying passengers and mails from Christchurch on Saturday evening met- with an accident shortly after leaving Otira. The train ran into a' cow, which threw tho engine and tho first carriage off the rails. The' engine pulled up the rails and sleepers for tonic distance and then toppled over. Fortunately tho passengers escaped injury, although they received a shaking. A train left town and brought on the passengers, arriving litre > : r midnight.
